Gujarat Titans' Rs 3.6 cr new signing meets with bike accident, under observation in hospital

RANCHI: Gujarat Titans' uncapped player, who the franchise signed for Rs 3.6 cr in the IPL auction, was injured in a bike accident. The said player, Robin Minz, a 21 year-old wicket keeper batsman from Jharkhand, who acquired Gujarat by spending 3.60 crore rupees, suffered bruises in the accident.

His father, Francis Minz, said that Robin was riding a Kawasaki super bike when he lost control and collided with another bike. "Nothing serious at the moment and he is currently under observation," Francis Minz said.

Minz is likely to debut for Gujarat this season. He is a big fan of MS Dhoni. After retiring from the army, Robin's father works in the security department of the Ranchi airport.

He is yet to feature for Jharkhand in the Ranji Trophy but has played for the state's under-19 and under-25 teams.
