Salary or pension will not stop, there is no reason to worry; Money cannot be withdrawn at once, says Minister

minister

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Finance Minister K N Balagopal said that neither salary nor pension will be cut. Government employees will start getting salary from today. He said that the salary will be paid within two or three days and there is no reason to worry about the financial situation.

Salary cannot be withdrawn at once. Treasury has control. There will be a restriction of Rs 50,000. The minister clarified that this will apply to both salary and pension. He explains that this is to avoid the technical problem that occurs when withdrawing together.

‘While talking about the salary issue, some things should be added. The pro-UDF organizations in the state announced a strike as they got an opportunity. It is said that a hunger strike is going on. I don’t know the truth about it. BJP's NGO Sangh says that something very wrong is happening here and the protest is against this. People should ask whether a political party called BJP is allowed to contest elections here. The entire money to be given to Kerala has been withheld and is being justified on its behalf. I'm not just saying this. We have talked about Rs 57,400 crore that we need to get in the assembly.'- the minister clarified.
