More divers from Navy should be sent to Shirur immediately; CM writes to Rajnath Singh

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has written to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh seeking more help from the Navy to find lorry driver Arjun, who went missing following a landslide in Shirur, Karnataka. The Chief Minister requested that more Navy divers should be sent to Shirur immediately.

In his letter, the CM stated that the Kerala government is constantly in touch with the Karnataka government on the issue and that the rescue mission, which has been going on in Shirur for the last 11 days, needs more help from the Navy. The Chief Minister also demanded that divers from the Southern and Eastern Commands of the Navy and advanced systems like ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) should be brought to Shirur.
