PATHANAMTHITTA: PC George said that Anil Antony, the NDA candidate in Pathanamthitta, does not have the support of the church leaders and that he will work to earn it. His reaction came after Anil Antony came to meet PC George at his house before starting the campaign in Pathanamthitta. PC George said that he has no other objection to Anil. Anil Antony said that he was lucky to start with PC George's blessing and that conflict is a creation of media. "I will be there for the campaign. Anil Antony may not get the same support from the church leaders as when I contest. I will work for that." Anil Antony visited George's house today.

Anil's visit is on the instructions of the party leadership. PC George had earlier said that it would be difficult for Anil Antony, who was announced as the BJP candidate in Pathanamthitta, to win. "I will support whoever the party puts up as a candidate. I don't know why Anil Antony loves Pathanamthitta. PC George said yesterday that it is unfortunate to convince the people that Anil Antony is the candidate.

Meanwhile, BJP state president K Surendran had reacted sharply against PC George. 'One should be moderate in language. Let's wait and see what will happen against PC George. The party understands everything. There is no one in Kerala who does not know Anil Antony. Anil is the best candidate.' K Surendran clarified.
