THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The DNA test result of the child who was kidnapped from Pettah in Thiruvananthapuram has come out. DNA results showed that the child belongs to the couple from Bihar. The police had decided to conduct a DNA test following a discrepancy in the statements of the parents at the time of the child's abduction. With the DNA test result confirming that the child is indeed the daughter of the Bihar native couple, the authorities will soon hand over the child and her siblings to the parents after completing further steps.

Currently, the two-year-old girl and her siblings are under the care of CWC. The police issued a letter to CWC to release the child to the parents. In the letter, the police stated that there were no obstacles in releasing the children. The police issued the letter in the context of arresting the accused. Hasan, the accused in the child abduction case, was arrested by the police from Kollam yesterday morning. Hasan, who lives in Navaikulam in Thiruvananthapuram, is an accused in a POCSO case.
