Offering a golden crown is Suresh Gopi's personal matter; no need to create controversy, says K Muraleedharan

KOZHIKODE: Congress leader K Muraleedharan has responded to the controversy related to the crown offered by actor and BJP leader Suresh Gopi at the Lourdes Church in Thrissur. Speaking to a media outlet, Muraleedharan said that offering a crown to Mother Mary was Suresh Gopi's personal matter and it should not be made a controversy.

Meanwhile, Suresh Gopi on Tuesday said that he would present a crown worth Rs 10 lakhs to the Mother if he wins in Thrissur. He said that the crown presented in Lourdes church was his family's offering.

Suresh Gopi reached Thrissur yesterday to kickstart his election campaign. VS Sunilkumar, the LDF candidate in Thrissur, has already started campaign work. Thrissur is anticipating a fierce triangular fight with the announcement of the UDF candidate.
