THRISSUR: Suresh Gopi, the NDA candidate in Thrissur, revealed that he is suffering from acute back pain and can't move. He further said that he would participate in 'Kalashakkottu' (grand finale of high decibel campaign) but none of his family members will come.
"I have back pain and can't move properly. I will participate in Kalashakkottu. My family members will not come. Because there are so many wretched people in our state, those who do not respect secularism, as well as those who do not respect democratic rights. This is my thing. It is my politics," Suresh Gopi told a media.
Dr Vandana Das' father Mohandas Suresh has come in support of Gopi. He clarified that he will be with Suresh Gopi throughout today.
Kalashakkottu of Suresh Gopi's campaign will be held today at 4.30 pm. The final lap of his campaign will start from in front of Bini Tourist Home and will conclude near Ragam Theatre. Workers from Thrissur, Ollur, Puthukkad and Cherppu constituencies will participate. There will be art forms, festivities, still floats and a bike rally.
Meanwhile, major roads and centres across the state will be filled with election campaign vehicles by late afternoon. The public campaign will culminate by 6 pm and the parties will move on to silent campaigning.
