RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has unlocked huge employment opportunities through an investment of 11.2 billion dollars. According to reports, the Saudi government aims to create 120,000 jobs in the field of tourism. Yesterday, the Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al-Khateeb, unveiled the Tourism Investment Enablers Program designed to facilitate business practices and increase investment attractiveness for local and international investors. Subsequently, the Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with the Ministry of Investment, announced the Hospitality Sector Investment Enablers Initiative.

The main objective is to provide facilities and diversification to tourists in tourism destinations across the country. Officials also estimate that this will attract more tourists to the country. "Saudi Arabia is a country with a rich and diverse tourism wealth. Efforts are being made to make the country's tourism sector more attractive globally. Last year there was a 390 percent increase in the demand for tourism activity licenses," said Ahmed Al-Khateeb.

The administration also believes that more people will be willing to invest in the country when the conditions are favourable for investors. Initially, the administration aimed to find solutions to the challenges faced by investors, develop rules to reduce operating costs and promote the growth of the tourism industry.

With the arrival of more investors, the target is a massive increase, including the number of hotels. Officials estimate that the initiative will contribute a number of social and economic benefits to the country, including at least 42,000 new hotel rooms and the creation of 120,000 jobs by 2030. Saudi Arabia prioritizes nationalization efforts in the field of employment.
