THRISSUR: Only four more days are left to save the life of Kozhikode native Abdul Raheem, who is currently waiting for death sentence in Saudi Arabia. The family and voluntary organizations are trying to raise Rs 34 crore as ransom for the release of Raheem.

Meanwhile, the ‘Yachaka Yatra’ initiated by popular businessman Boby Chemmannur to raise money for Raheem's release is progressing. Now, Boby Chemmanur's mother has made a donation towards the fundraising campaign. She donated Rs 1 lakh to the fund to save Abdul Raheem's life. She said that she had been praying for Abdul Raheem for the last two days.

Donations are not accepted in cash. Instead, money can be sent directly to Abdul Raheem's mother Pathu's number via Google Pay. Donations are sent to the account of Abdul Raheem Legal Assistance Committee Trust which is now easily available on Boby Chemmanur’s social media pages. The QR code for the account is even now pasted in the car owned by the businessman.

Google Pay No: 9567483832, 9072050881, MP Abdul Rahim Legal Assistance Committee, Account No: 074905001625, IFSC-ICIC 0000749, Branch - Malappuram.

Abdul Raheem was awarded the death penalty following the death of a differently-abled boy who was in the car driven by him. A ransom of Rs 34 crore has to be paid before the 16th of April, to help Abdul come out from the throes of stringent Saudi rules.
