‘This is awesome,’ Suresh Gopi reacts to Muraleedharan contesting in Thrissur

THRISSUR: If Muraleedharan is in the fray in Thrissur, things will be grander, said BJP candidate Suresh Gopi. The actor while talking to the media said that he has his own voters and the rest of the things is for the people to decide. When hinted about the campaign of Congressmen that if Muraleedharan comes, that he will go to the third position, his reply was

‘Be it the third or the tenth place...isn't it the people who decide, not the Congressmen? This is awesome, totally awesome.’

The AICC leadership decided to field K Muraleedharan in Thrissur after Padmaja Venugopal left the party and joined the BJP something which has shocked the congress.
Either Shafi Parambil MLA or T Siddique MLA will be given Muraleedharan’s sitting seat Vadakara. K C Venugopal will be contesting from Alappuzha. The sitting MPs will contest in the remaining seats. Rahul Gandhi will decide on Wayanad.

The leadership's assessment is that the arrival of Padmaja will bring political gains to the BJP in Kerala. It is indicated that Padmaja is likely to campaign for Suresh Gopi in Thrissur. She received BJP’s membership from Kerala Prabhari Prakash Javadekar at the BJP headquarters in Delhi at 6:30 pm yesterday. She was given a rousing reception when she arrived in Thiruvananthapuram today.
