'Tied up and raped'; Nadapuram native files rape complaint against friend

KOCHI: A Kochi-based woman came with a complaint against her friend for heinous sexual assault. According to the complainant, she was called to Dubai for work-related concerns but was later tied up and brutally raped by her friend in an apartment. The woman, a native of Nadapuram, also alleged that her friend tried to settle the case for Rs 25 lakhs.

The woman said that the incident left her mentally broken and pushed her to the verge of suicide. Police informed that the accused in the case, a native of Nadapuram, is abroad. Nadapuram police registered a case on the complaint given to Vadakara Rural SP and started an investigation.
