Sexually harassed a 17-year-old girl who sought help; BS Yediyurappa booked under POCSO

BENGALURU: The Karnataka Police has booked senior BJP leader and former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa under the POCSO Act. It was the Sadashivanagara police that booked the former CM on the complaint of the mother of a 17-year-old girl. In her complaint, the woman alleged that Yediyurappa sexually harassed her daughter when she and her daughter went to his residence seeking justice in a rape case.

The incident related to the case took place on February 2. The police registered the case yesterday night. Yediyurappa has not yet responded regarding the case.
