62 lakh people to get Rs 4800 before Vishu; two more instalments of welfare pension sanctioned

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister KN Balagopal announced that two more instalments of social security and welfare fund pension will be distributed before Vishu. Each pensioner will receive Rs 3200. The distribution of one instalment of pension has been started. With this, the beneficiaries will get Rs 4800 during Vishu, Easter and Ramzan.

Out of 62 lakh people who are getting welfare pensions, all those who have done mustering will get the amount. Pension will be delivered through account to those who gave bank account numbers and directly to home through cooperative societies for others. Three outstanding instalments will be disbursed later. KN Balagopal said that steps are being taken to distribute the respective pensions as announced in the budget.
