Several injured in brawl over dosa and omlette in Kollam

KOLLAM: A fight broke out in front of a roadside eatery here after an employee informed about a delay in ordered dosa and omelette. A gang under the influence of alcohol vandalized the said shop in Alimukku in Karunagappally in Kollam. Many people, including those who had come to eat, were injured in the clash.

The owner of the hotel, Edakkulangara native Gopakumar, has lodged a complaint with the police.

A person asked for an omelette. After this, a hotel employee of the eatery informed that there would be a delay for the omelette. Hearing this, another gang in the hotel, who were not among those who ordered omlette, rushed inside inside the hotel in rage.

The five-member gang completely ransacked the hotel. The drunken gang also attacked those who came to eat.

One of the five accused who caused the conflict has been arrested. Prasad, who was arrested and was part of the gang, is also undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in the conflict.
