Man enters home and hacks two children to death; accused later shot dead by police

LUCKNOW: Police have killed the accused who barged into a house and hacked two children to death. The shocking incident took place in Budaun in Uttar Pradesh. The police shot down the accused after he attacked the police while trying to escape after killing the children.

The deceased children lived in the Baba colony in Budaun. The murder was committed by a man named Sajid, who ran a barber shop near their house. According to the police, the dispute between Sajid and the children's father Vinod led to the murder.

On Tuesday evening, Sajid came to Vinod's house asking for tea. Following this, he entered the terrace of the house and slit the throats of the children who were playing there. The deceased children are Ayush (13) and Ahaan (7). He also tried to attack Vinod's third son Piyush (6) before escaping from the house. Although the police apprehended Sajid near the house, he tried to attack them. Following this, the police shot him down.

Budaun District Magistrate Manoj Kumar said that the police have received information that locals are protesting at the place. He also requested the people to maintain peace. Sajid's body will be handed over to his relatives after the post-mortem.
