MOSCOW: More than 60 people were killed after gunmen opened fire at them during a concert at a mall in Russia. Reports that came in said 115 people were injured in the attack. The gunmen opened fire at the rock concert in a northern Moscow suburb. The attack happened at Crocus City Hall, 20 kilometers (12 mile) from Kremlin.
A journalist who was at the scene said the attackers dressed in camouflage uniforms entered the building, opened fire and threw explosive grenades or bombs. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Video footage has emerged showing gunshots, screams and people trying to get out of the hall. In another video, some men are also seen shooting at people.
“Suddenly there was a loud noise behind us. Someone shot. And then an explosion. I don't know what happened," the witness said, according to a news agency report.
According to reports, the death toll is likely to rise. It is the biggest attack Russia has seen since the Beslan school siege in 2004.
