BHOPAL: A 24-year-old woman gave birth to a baby on a running train in Madhya Pradesh's Vidisha district. The incident took place on the Mumbai Varanasi Kamayani Express yesterday morning. The woman gave birth to a baby girl. It is reported that the family members named the baby after the train. The baby was named 'Kamayani'.
The 24-year-old was travelling with her husband from Nashik in Maharashtra to Satna in Madhya Pradesh. However, the woman went into labour between Bhopal and Vidisha.
RPF Inspector Manju Mahobe told the media that the woman gave birth with the help of two women who were travelling in the same coach. It was another passenger who informed the RPF about the childbirth. After the train reached Vidisha railway station, the newborn baby and mother were taken to Harda District Hospital. It has been reported that the mother and baby are fine.
