Ragging complaint: High Court stays suspension of two students of Pookode Veterinary College

high-court

KOCHI: The High Court has issued an interim order staying the suspension of two students who were expelled for ragging at Pookode Veterinary College. Amaresh Bali and Ajith were suspended based on the report of the Anti-Ragging Committee in 2023. However, the High Court has intervened, temporarily halting their suspension.

The Anti-Ragging Committee had taken action against Amaresh Bali and Ajith in connection with an incident that occurred in 2023, following the death of Siddharth, a student of Pookode Veterinary College. Dissatisfied with their suspension, the students have challenged the decision in court, leading to the issuance of the interim order by the High Court.
