KOTTAYAM: Mystery is looming over the report prepared by Range Officer EB Jayan alleging that the staff of the Plachery forest station had cultivated ganja plants near the office. A section of officials are alleging that it was a script prepared by Jayan to trap the staff members, including women employees, who had complained against him earlier. The report of Kottayam DFO also validates this.

Meanwhile, watcher Ajesh, who had appeared in an earlier video admitting to cultivating ganja, also came forward against Jayan. He alleged that he was forced to appear in the video and that Jayan had made him sign three white papers.

According to the top officials of the forest department, Jayan submitted his report on ganja cultivation after his transfer order was issued. Top officials also pointed out that it is not credible that ganja plants were grown in the office where 40 officers work. Moreover, apart from a photo of ganja plants, there was no other evidence to prove that ganja plants were grown in the office.
