Fans mourn death of Gutless foodie blogger who lived without a stomach

PUNE: Popular Indian blogger Natasha Diddee, popularly known as 'The Gutless Foodie', passed away in Pune. Natasha lived life without a stomach and was an admired cook. Natasha's husband announced about the death through social media. The cause of death is not known.

Born and brought up in Pune, 50-year-old Natasha became famous for sharing recipes through Instagram. Her entire stomach was removed due to tumours which had developed in her stomach in 2012. In her interviews, she had revealed that she was suffering from multiple medical conditions. She said that she has diarrhoea, dizziness and fatigue after having a meal.

In an interview, she said that having no stomach makes her stand out from the long line of food bloggers. 'I consider it lucky that the stomach was removed. If I had not gone through such a situation, my life story would have changed. My belief is to find the best out of whatever situation you are going through' - Natasha shared.

Following a gastrectomy (surgery to remove the stomach), Natasha's digestive system was reconfigured to bypass the stomach. Followed a very strict diet and treatments. They also had a serious condition called dumping syndrome, where food passes directly from the oesophagus into the intestines. Therefore, it was not possible to eat quickly or eat solid food. Meanwhile, she revealed that she was addicted to alcohol and was suffering from depression. She also shared that she is seeking treatment for this. She recently had to undergo a shoulder surgery. Meanwhile, many fans mourned the demise of the beloved food blogger.
