Sugandhagiri tree felling case: Action against two Forest Dept employees

KALPETTA: The Forest Department has taken action against two forest department employees in the Sugandhagiri tree felling case. It was Northern CCF KS Deepa who took action against Wayanad Kalpetta Section Forest Officer and Forest Department Watcher. Section Forest Officer KK Chandran has been suspended.

Earlier, the Forest Department had found that the accused in the case had felled 50 trees after taking permission to fell 20 trees in the Sugandhagiri Chennakkavala in Kalpetta. Following this, a departmental inquiry was conducted. The action against the forest department employees comes after this.
