Former Poonjar MLA PC George took to Facebook to strongly criticize the SDPI and challenged the UDF and LDF to publicly deny their support.

"All Malayalis know that SDPI is the political version of the banned religious extremist organization Popular Front of India. Terrorists issued death threats to Christians and Hindus. They have publicly declared their support for the UDF in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Secretly, they are supporting LDF in two constituencies.

Despite receiving such support, the UDF is not showing the courage to publicly accept or reject it. The LDF, who got their support in the last Assembly polls, is also keeping mum.

In 2016, when I faced the assembly elections alone, I openly said that I would accept the support of any devil. SDPI immediately supported me. I didn't take their support secretly. I took their support by openly holding their flag. But when I understood the real intention of these religious fanatics, I did not hesitate to publicly reject them.

I said publicly that I don't want the vote of any terrorist who doesn't love this country and that too right under their nose in Erattupetta. If the UDF and the LDF have the guts, if they are sure that they have unadulterated blood running in their veins, they should publicly say no to the support of religious extremists.
