THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Arunachal Pradesh police have assigned a five-member team to conduct an investigation on the incident where a couple and their friend were found dead under mysterious circumstances in a hotel room in Arunachal Pradesh. The Arunachal police are of the conclusion that satan worship was behind the death of the three. Itanagar SP Kenny Bagra said that the Arunachal police will carry out the investigation in collaboration with the Kerala Police. The police said that they received preliminary evidence which proved that it was Naveen who killed both Devi and Arya by inflicting wounds on them before killing himself. Meanwhile, Vattiyoorkavu police SI Rakesh and team, probing the missing case of Arya, have reached Arunachal Pradesh.
The relatives of the three reached Itanagar to receive the bodies. The bodies will be brought to Kerala today. The bodies of Devi and Arya will be brought to Thiruvananthapuram, while the body of Naveen Thomas will be brought to Nedumbassery. According to the police, Devi and Naveen took a room in the hotel saying that Arya was their daughter. Naveen's documents were provided as ID proof to take the room.
They took the room on March 28. They went on a trip for the next three days and returned to the room on Sunday night. There were no information about them on April 1. According to the police, Naveen committed suicide by slitting his wrist after killing others by inflicting wounds all over their bodies.
Studied about afterlife
It was clear from the evidence obtained from the mobile phones that Naveen Thomas and Devi had been learning about life after death for years. Naveen Thomas was the first to start learning about the afterlife and extraterrestrial life. Later, he brought the other two into it. The injuries were found on Arya's neck, Devi's hands and Naveen's hands. They also took anti-clotting pills, the police said.
Hair, and black bangles found on plate
Hair and black bangles were found on a plate in the room where the three were found dead. Based on this evidence and the methods adopted for the bloody death, the police came to the conclusion that the three practised satan worship. The days chosen by the three for this also strengthen the doubt. They reached 'Ziro', a village in Arunachal, during the week of Easter. The police concluded that they performed satan worship on the day of Easter.
Naveen and Devi had travelled to Ziro in Arunachal Pradesh a year and a half ago. The police found the details regarding their journey itinerary by examining Google Maps. The police also suspect that there may be gangs practising satan worship or black magic in the area.
Arya was supposed to get married next month
The wedding of Arya B Nair was supposed to take place on May 7. Her family had already purchased the jewellery and clothes for the marriage. Arya's mother has not yet been informed about her daughter's death. Meanwhile, Arya's parents are alleging that Arya was threatened and taken to Arunachal.
