Woman kills toddler, dies by suicide in Kasaragod

KASARAGOD: In a terrible incident, a woman committed suicide by cutting her nerves, only after strangling her toddler to death. Bindu (30), a native of Kasaragod Muliyar committed suicide after killing her four-month-old daughter Sreenanada.

Bindu was found hanging from a tree in the backyard of her house in Kopalamkochi, Kasaragod at around 2 pm on Friday. Bruise marks were spotted from the veins in her hands and blood was also oozing out. At the same time, the toddler was found in an unconscious state in the bedroom. Despite the family rushing her to Chengala Cooperative Hospital, she couldn’t be saved.

Bindu’s husband Sarath is currently working in Switzerland. Both of them got married six years ago, and it was just two days before she returned to Kasaragod from Sarath’s house.

Srihari is another child of Sarath-Bindu couple. Bindu is the daughter of Ramachandran and Lalitha of Kopalamkochi. Siblings - Sindhu and Ramya.
