Ramayana again

Ramanand Sagar directed epic Ramayana, which introduced Indians to television serials is all set to make a return. Shemaroo Entertainment will bring back the epic to thrill the audience again. The serial can be viewed through Shemaroo Television.

Ramayana was first telecasted in Doordarshan in 1987. Arun Govil played Ram in the serial. Ramayana was brought back during the horrendous times of Covid to divert the public from the grip of fear. The serial turned out to be a solace for many riddled in the clutches of fever during that time.

The epic is heading a comeback, especially at a time when 'Adipurush', a movie made to eulogize the mythology bombed at box office getting admonished by people for its tacky storytelling.
