THRISSUR: With the final voters list getting published, it is now more or less certain that it will be the core women voter base, that will play a decisive role in the upcoming elections. When it comes to Thrissur, women are ahead in all assembly constituencies with more than forty thousand votes over men.
In Thrissur, out of 14,83,055 voters, women's voters are ahead with a majority of 66,401. Apart from the 7,08,317 male voters, the constituency also has 20 transgender voters. There are 13,37,496 voters in Alathur, which includes assembly constituencies in Thrissur-Palakkad districts, and 13,10,529 voters in Chalakudy, which includes assembly constituencies in Thrissur-Eranakulam districts.
In both constituencies, women voters are far ahead with a majority of 40,610 and 41,814. Considering the numbers, it is a surety that women voters will have the final say in all these three constituencies within Thrissur.
Manalur Constituency has the most number of voters in Thrissur Lok Sabha Constituency — 2,28,706 voters. The least is in Thrissur — 1,89,245 voters.
