'I dont know anything, go and ask them'; CPM state secretary M V Govindan chides media for questioning Panoor bomb case

KANNUR: CPM state secretary M V Govindan on Sunday denied the party having any link with Sherin, who was killed while making country-made bombs in Panoor. However, the comment appeared jarring as prominent CPM leaders including K P Mohanan visited Sherin’s house on Sunday.

“I don’t know that. If you want more details, it would be best suited to ask the people who visited his house, not me.” M V Govindan replied to media queries but turned angrier when some journalists repeated the same question. Govindan alleged that all the people injured in the bomb blast were formerly accused of murder attempts on CPM workers.

It was appalling for CPM as Panoor area committee member Sudhir Kumar and Poyilur local committee member A Asokan visited Sherin’s house while CPM was working tirelessly to establish having no link with the accused.

Adding more worries, Kuthuparamba MLA K P Mohanan attended Sherin’s funeral. Later while responding to the media, Mohanan said he attended the funeral as a public representative of the area,
