THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam and Thrissur districts are likely to receive light to moderate summer rain today evening. Among these, Thiruvananthapuram and Thrissur are more likely to receive rain.
On Friday, the average temperature decreased by 4.3 degrees in Kollam district and 3.8 degrees in Thiruvananthapuram. The temperature dropped by two degrees due to rain yesterday. The temperature in Palakkad, which had a maximum temperature of 40 degrees, came down to 38 degrees.
Palakkad will record a maximum temperature of 39 degrees till Tuesday. Thrissur district will record 38 degrees and Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kozhikode and Kannur districts will record 37 degrees.
Fisherfolks have been advised not to venture into the sea for fishing as strong winds of 40 to 45 kmph and bad weather are likely in the South Kerala coast and Lakshadweep.
