Suresh Gopi won't win in Thrissur but NDA will get more votes, UDF has upper hand in Kerala: Vellappally Natesan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan on Sunday said that UDF has an upper hand in the Lok Sabha elections, but it will not get the victory like the last time. He said that the result cannot be predicted by listening to someone's opinion or through astrology and also spoke about the chances of victory in various constituencies.

"In Thiruvananthapuram, it is impossible to predict the chacnes. The victory of the NDA candidate will depend on how many votes he gets from the coastal region. Otherwise he will go behind. It was a tough competition in Alappuzha as well. Sobha Surendran will get more votes than BJP secured before. AM Arif will benefit if Sobha gets more votes," Natesan said.

"Suresh Gopi will not win in Thrissur. I knows the possibilities there. Suresh Gopi is not a politician and all related issues have happened there. I told Thushar not to compete. There is no possibility of him getting full Ezhava votes in Kottayam constituency. He followed the instructions of the front and entered the fray. NDA will get more votes this time," he said.

"The controversy regarding EP Jayarajan meeting Javadekar on election day could have been avoided. Jayarajan is a senior leader. Political leaders meet each other. But the time and manner of meetings is important. There is no mistake if he met Javadekar because the party asked. If he hasn't conveyed this to the party, it is wrong according to the party policy. Jayarajan is lagging behind as LDF convener. He has never taken a strong stand. However, it isn't clear whether he will go to BJP," he added.
