Who is sponsor? what is source of income? three questions unanswered on Pinarayi's foreign trip

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union Minister V Muraleedharan has come up with three questions on the private foreign tour of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his family. Muraleedharan raised the three questions seeking a reply from the CPM. He also accused the Chief Minister of going abroad to enjoy beach tourism at a time when the people of Kerala are suffering due to the extreme summer heat.

"Who is the sponsor of the foreign trip of the CM and his family? What is the source of income of the sponsor? Who has been given the charge of the Chief Minister and the Public Works Department Minister? Pinarayi Vijayan has gone abroad to celebrate beach tourism at a time when the people of Kerala are suffering due to the extreme summer heat. What is the CPM's stand on this foreign trip amidst a financial crisis?" Muraleedharan asked.

"Sitharam Yechury has not said anything. The Opposition Leader has not responded to the matter. It should be revealed who is bearing the expense of the foreign trip. The demand seeking a Vigilance probe into the monthly payoff allegation was rejected as part of an adjustment," Muraleedharan said.

The Chief Minister and his family left for the foreign trip from Nedumbassery yesterday morning. The family first travelled to Indonesia. They will remain there till May 12. They will then go to Singapore. The CM and his family will visit UAE from May 19 to 21.
