Advertising agent arrested after alleged sexual assault of Malayali model

CHENNAI: Advertising agent Siddharth was arrested for trying to sexually harass a Malayali model after calling her to act in an advertisement. Siddharth allegedly tried to molest the woman from Ernakulam in a hotel room. The Chennai police has registered a case on the woman's complaint.

In her complaint, the woman alleged that after promising her a role in an advertisement to be shot in England, she was called to a hotel room. After she reached there, Siddharth tried to grab her. The woman ran out of the room and informed the hotel staff, who informed the police.

Meanwhile, the Marayamuttam police arrested a man for allegedly abusing a minor girl in Neyyattinkara. The arrested has been identified as Padmakumar (60), a native of Marayamuttam. According to the police, the accused sexually abused the girl, who was alone at her house, after bringing her to an uninhabited place. After experiencing physical discomfort, the girl was taken to a hospital, where she informed the doctor about the ordeal. Following this, her parents informed the same to Marayamuttam police. The accused was produced before the court and remanded.
