Some inside Samastha tried for IUML's failure, League's state leadership piqued

KOZHIKODE: The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) state leadership is irked by the anti-IUMLactivities of a section of Samastha leaders during the Lok Sabha elections. This was discussed at the state leadership meeting at League House yesterday. There was criticism that the attempt to defeat the UDF-League candidates came from a section of Samastha. But the opinion of the meeting is that the difference with Samastha did not harm the election. The meeting assessed that the IUML candidates will win in Ponnani and Malappuram with a large majority and the UDF will win all 20 seats.

Panakkad Sadiqali Shihab Thangal and PK Kunjalikutty abstained from the launch of the Gulf edition of Samastha mouthpiece 'Suprabhatham' due to ongoing tensions with Samastha. Despite the invitation, all the leaders informed that they would not be able to attend the state committee due to meeting of the IUML in Kozhikode. Sadiqali Thangal also said that the party working committee is important.

The problem is with Suprabhatham: Kunhalikutty

IUML National General Secretary PK Kunjalikutty openly stated in a press conference that there is no difference with Samastha and Samastha leaders but there are some problems with Suprabhatham newspaper. It is a newspaper with links to League workers. The difference of opinion has been conveyed to all the leaders.
