THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Many places in the state received rain with thunder Monday morning. The central meteorological department has announced red alert in four districts and orange alert in three districts today. As per the latest radar image, there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning at isolated places in Thiruvananthapuram in the next three hours and strong winds with a speed of up to 40 km per hour.

A chance of very heavy rain at isolated places has been predicted here. The meteorological department has informed that heavy rainfall means rainfall of more than 204.4 mm in 24 hours.
