Defects in bus driven by Yadhu; move to transfer ATO

kk

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A move is being made to take action against the ATO over the controversial dispute between Thiruvananthapuram Mayor Arya Rajendran and KSRTC driver Yadhu. The KSRTC is mulling taking action against the ATO after it was found that the speed governor and GPS were not working in the bus driven by Yadhu and that the bus did not have a pollution certificate. According to sources, the authorities may soon issue an order transferring ATO Basheer of Thampanoor Depot.

The defects in the bus were found during the inspection carried out by the Motor Vehicle Department as per the direction of the police. It is reported that the ATO would be transferred to save the KSRTC from the embarrassment caused by the controversial incident.

However, the employees believe that it is the responsibility of the depot engineer to check the technical matters of the bus and therefore the action against the ATO is not right. The opposition on the part of the employees is causing the delay in taking action against the ATO.
