Accused who kidnapped and sexually assaulted ten-year-old girl arrested

KASARAGOD: A special investigation team arrested PA Saleem (35), a native of Kodak, in the case of abducting and assaulting a ten-year-old girl who was sleeping at home. He was brought to Kanhangad station at half past nine last night. After detailed questioning, the arrest will be recorded today.

After the incident, he was identified as the accused from the nearby CCTV footage. However, the phone could not be found as it was not in use. The other day, when he called his sister from someone else's phone, it was found out that he was in Andhra. Then the tower location was found out and the police reached there and caught him. He is also accused in a case where he took another girl on a bike and took her to the forest.

He abducted the girl from her house in Padannakkad coastal area last Wednesday morning. When the grandfather went to milk the cow, he entered and took the girl through the kitchen door and took her to the nearby field and sexually assaulted her. The girl's earrings were also stolen. The incident came to know when the girl, who was injured in her eyes and neck, reached the house next door and called home.
