ANGAMALY: A DySP and other policemen attended the party hosted by a goonda leader. Alappuzha DySP M G Sabu and policemen attended the feast. The DySP hid in the washroom seeing the sub inspector and his team, who came for a raid. Goonda leader Thammanam Faizal hosted the feast at his house. The police have started an internal investigation into the incident.

While moving forward with the operation to crack down gangsters in the state, policemen including top officials came as guests at the feast hosted by goonda leader Thammanam Faizal. When the police came for a raid, saw the DySP and three policemen there. When asked why they came here, the DySP and his team said that Faizal had organised a feast for them.

The policemen said they went to Vagamon and reached Angamaly. However, there were some inconsistencies in it. The police team who came for the raid informed the higher officials. An internal investigation was later announced in the incident which brought shame to the police department. Also, information has been sought from the police headquarters in Ernakulam Rural. The raid was conducted under the leadership of the police last evening at 6.

Faizal is an accused in many cases and is included in the goons list. He is accused in many cases including kidnapping a businessman. Faizal is also an accused in a case where a youth was stripped and beaten. The police had once decided to impose KAAPA. A high-ranking official coming to a such a person’s house is a shame to the entire force.
