Cyber attack against child artist Devananda; Family lodges complaint

KOCHI: Child artist Devananda has taken legal action against cyber attacks on social media. Her father Jibin has lodged a complaint with the Kochi cyber police. The complaint states that a portion of an interview given to promote Devananda's new film 'Gu' has been edited and circulated on social media misleadingly.

'Hello everyone. A part of the interview given to a channel at our house for the new movie 'Gu' has been edited and circulated on social media. I want to inform you all that legal action will be taken against those who made defamatory remarks,' Devananda noted.

Devananda entered the film industry with the movie Thottappan, which hit theatres in 2019. She has since acted in films like My Santa, Malikappuram, 2018 and Neymar. Devananda played a role in the Tamil horror film Aranmanai 4, which was released this month. Her latest film is 'Gu,' produced by Maniyan Pillai Raju.
