SRINAGAR: As per some tense revelation from the Jammu and Kashmir police, it is alleged that the Indian army officials barged into the police station and tortured many officials. The incident happened on Tuesday night. Four police officers suffered injuries in the melee.

Special police officers Raees Khan, Imtiaz Malik, constables Salim Mushtaq and Zahoor Ahmed were hospitalized following the incident. All are now undergoing treatment in Skims Hospital in Soura and their health is said to be stable.

It is alleged that the military officials barged into the police station under the command of one senior military official. Neither the police nor the army have cleared the air on the matter. As part of the investigation, the police had searched the house of one soldier from the Territorial Army, at Batpora in Kupwara. This is now considered the triggering incident that led the army to an offensive.
