Ambani family gearing up for celebrations: Anant Ambani's wedding on July 12

Anant Ambani, son of Reliance Group Chairman Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani got married on July 12. The bride is Radhika Merchant, daughter of Viren Merchant and Shaila Merchant, owners of Encore Healthcare. The event was held at the Jio Convention Center in Mumbai.

Invited guests to the ceremony received a red and gold colour invitation. The invitation also mentioned the ceremonies to be held on July 12, 13 and 14. The dress code for each day was specified in the letter.

Traditional Indian clothes were to be worn by the guests on the wedding day. The 'Shubh Ashirvad' ceremony took place on the 13th, for which Indian formal clothes were to be worn. The reception was on the 14th and 'Indian chic' was the dress code for that day.

The world's top businessmen, Bollywood and Hollywood stars participated in the celebrations. The pre-wedding celebration was earlier held in Jamnagar, Gujarat, where dinner was served to 51,000 locals. More than 2,500 dishes were prepared by over 100 chefs. There was also a concert by pop singer Rihanna. Guests included Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Gautam Adani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Anand Mahindra, Disney CEO Bob Iger, Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, M S Dhoni and Hardik Pandya. Canadian ex-prime minister Stephen Harper, Australian ex-prime minister Kevin Rudd and Ivanka Trump were also guests. Anant Ambani is the youngest of the three children of Mukesh and Nita Ambani. The 29-year-old Anant is part of Reliance Energy and Radhika is a board member of the Reliance Foundation.
