NEW DELHI: While the nation is waiting in bated breath for the LS poll results on Tuesday, preparations are already going in full swing inside the Rashtrapathi Bhavan for the swearing-in ceremony. Ahead of the counting of votes on Tuesday, tenders were invited for a supply of garlands and other paraphernalia for decorating the venue where the Prime Minister and his entourage of ministers arrive for the swearing-in ceremony.

The tender is expected to cost Rs 21.97 lakh and will be opened on Monday. The contractor will be allowed five days to complete the work. The Central Public Works Department is supervising the function. Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha Secretariat is making arrangements to facilitate the travel, arrival and accommodation of the newly elected MPs across the country at transit points such as airports and railway stations.

Meanwhile, the BJP is also working behind the curtains to make the purported third term of Narendra Modi more grandeur with programs being planned at Kartavya Path and Bharat Mandapam. Even ministers are clueless about the cultural and other programs on cards. The oath ceremony will be held on June 9.

The exit poll results showed the resurgence of Modi wave across India and this time the saffron party is more likely to open its account in south India, which was hitherto a bulwark to the BJP.
