Defeated my brother just like me: Padmaja

THRISSUR: BJP leader Padmaja Venugopal said that her brother K Muralidharan was ambushed by the same Congress leaders who defeated her. When asked if she was referring to TN Prathapan and others, Padmaja replied 'I am not even interested in mentioning the names of those leaders'.

"I left the Congress with a broken heart. I am glad that my decision was not wrong. I had warned my brother when he came to Thrissur as a candidate. The bane of the Congress is the alliance of rank-and-file leaders. The lotus will bloom again in Kerala."

When asked if Padmaja would mediate to bring Muralidharan to the BJP, her response was, "He is intelligent and knowledgeable, there is no need to invite him."

Muralidharan is not cheap to say that he will stop political activity under pressure. Padmaja also said that there is no deal in Suresh Gopi's victory.
