NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not planning to leave Suresh Gopi despite informing his busy schedule in films. The actor had informed the Prime Minister that cinema is his source of income and a major share of it is spent for the society. Reports said that he has committed four films.

Reports said Modi had told Suresh Gopi that a situation would be arranged for him to complete his films and had asked him to come immediately to Delhi for taking the oath. It has been hinted that the actor may get a cabinet berth once he completes the film committed ahead of the assembly polls. It is also assessed that this will be beneficial for the BJP in the assembly elections.

Suresh Gopi has four films in his hand. The first is the film produced by Mammootty Company. The shooting of the film directed by Mahesh Narayanan, was supposed to start in April but was postponed due to elections and other technical issues. This big budget film has a schedule of around four months. The second is a Pan Indian film with a budget of 70 crores produced by Gokulam Gopalan. More information about the film is not available.

Suresh Gopi's third film is the second part of the super hit film 'Chinthamani Kolacase'. Titled 'LK', this film is directed by Shaji Kailas who directed the first part. The fourth film is reportedly a police story. No further information is available.

It was earlier stated that Suresh Gopi was dissatisfied in getting the Minister of State post. It was also reported that he was trying to resign the ministerial post. However, Suresh Gopi himself came forward denying this. His response was that resigning from the union cabinet is not in his agenda. He told a private channel that he will prepare a blueprint for the development of Kerala within the next three months and give it to the central government.

‘The news coming is not true. Will continue to work as an MP. A blueprint related to the development of Kerala will be prepared and given to the central government. The Prime Minister very well knows that cinema is my passion. I have a few films to complete. An accord has to be made on it. Apart from that, resignation is not in the agenda', the actor said.
