THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Governor Arif Muhammad Khan lashed out at Chief Secretary Dr V Venu who came to meet the Governor with the request that he should become the inaugurator of the Fourth Loka Kerala Sabha. Expressing his deep dissatisfaction with the actions of the government, the governor also clarified that he is not going to be the inaugurator. When the chief secretary said that he was only the messenger of the government, the governor replied, "Go and tell those who sent you."

The Chief Secretary reached the Raj Bhavan in the afternoon. The Chief Secretary informed the Governor that he came as per the instructions of the Chief Minister and it is the wish of the Government that the Governor should inaugurate the Loka Kerala Sabha which will begin on the 13th. The Governor said that the government is constantly belittling constitutional institutions including the Legislative Assembly. Pointing out that he was not invited when the Loka Kerala Sabha was held earlier, the Governor asked what was new now.

"The government remained silent when there were protests led by SFI on the issue related to the appointment of vice-chancellors and my car was blocked. Nine ministers were justifying the actions of SFI as democratic protests. There is a lot of extravaganza and presumptuousness going on through Loka Kerala Sabha and Keraliyam," accused the governor.
