THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: MLA Chandy Oommen stated that the former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had laid the foundation stone for the Kozhikode Metro and Thiruvananthapuram Metro projects, but these projects were not implemented due to a change in administration. Chandy Oommen made this statement during a press conference.

"Oommen Chandy laid the foundation stone for the Kozhikode Metro and Thiruvananthapuram Metro projects. But the people of Kerala made a mistake and brought LDF to power. Where is the Thiruvananthapuram Metro and Kozhikode Metro? Nothing has happened since then because the government changed," Chandy Oommen said.

He questioned why the Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode metro projects were not implemented, asking, "Is only stone laid for Kochi Metro? Oommen Chandy was there for the trial run. Was he invited for the inauguration? The Kochi Metro has been laid and reached its finishing stage. It makes no sense to say that we did the rest."

Chandy Oommen also criticized the LDF government, questioning, "What has the LDF government done for the development of railways and roads here?"
