'No salary for seven months, not even enough for food', current situation of the policeman who congratulated the Chief Minister...

PATHANAMTHITTA: Suspended police officer U Umesh, CPO of Aranmula station and a native of Kozhikode Feroke, has refused to comply with an investigation request, stating that he will not appear because he has not been paid. He was suspended for posting on Facebook congratulating the Chief Minister.

'Sir, due to non-payment of salary for seven months, I humbly inform you that I am not able to come to your office because I can’t afford the costs of travel, food and accommodation'. Umesh has also posted a picture of this on Facebook. He wrote on Facebook that it is true, I can’t afford such things and should not be seen as a joke.

Umesh wrote a note on Facebook congratulating the Chief Minister after the arrest of the DySP and three policemen who had gone to a party by goons in Angamaly.

Umesh's Facebook post (roughly translated)

Special Branch DySP was given the responsibility to conduct an OE and give a report SP of Pathanamthitta as the policeman Umesh U was found to be a persistent miscreant.

This is the notice that was sent to Kozhikode by a special envoy yesterday. (Envoy's salary for two days + TA alone costs the government more than six thousand rupees)

Wrote the reply in that notice itself. What is said is truth. Need not be seen as a joke.

"It is humbly informed that due to non-payment of salary for 7 months, travel, food and accommodation expenses to attend your office cannot be met"
