Witchcraft performed on Kasaragod railway track? Police raise doubts

KASARAGOD: Creating panic, locals found a roll of paper placed suspiciously on a railway track in Kasaragod on Saturday. The incident took place near the Chandragiri bridge. After getting the information, the railway police reached the spot and opened the paper package.

Knotted string used in temples and iron bars were found in the packet. Police doubt the chances of ‘witchcraft’ in the incident. Some months before, police found similar packets on railway tracks with stones and wires inside. The officials expected the same to happen this time, but the knotted strings mostly used for religious purposes created panic among all.

‘Witchcraft’ doubts were even raised in KPCC president K Sudhakaran’s house in Kannur Nadal. It was a Vedic expert from Pathanamthitta who unearthed the package used for ‘witchcraft’ from the house of Sudhakaran. Kasaragod MP Rajmohan Unnithan was also present during the ritual conducted.

Sudhakaran had responded to the media that the footage of ‘witchcraft’ was dated long back and exuded confidence saying no one could hurt him.
