THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Divya S Iyer's embrace of former minister K Radhakrishnan was not likened by some people on social media and they even went on to speak about their castes. Divya, director of Vizhinjam International Port Company, said that it hurt her a lot.
"I have never lived by caste in my life. There is no protocol for expressing love. I embraced former minister K Radhakrishnan in the language of my heart. Mixing caste in it hurt. Caste thoughts are for those with immature minds. Their thoughts have complicated the issue," Divya said.
K Radhakrishnan MP said that there is no need to discuss the incident in a big way. Divya shared the picture on Instagram on the day Radhakrishnan resigned as minister. The picture was taken during the trip when Divya vacated the post of District Collector of Pathanamthitta. It went viral and made headlines, which upset some miscreants. They also found it inappropriate to embrace a minister of service.
