murder

PARASSALA: The special investigation team (SIT) probing the murder of quarry owner Deepu in Kaliyikkavilai has intensified their search for Sunil Kumar, who helped the prime accused. A special team from Tamil Nadu police has been appointed for this purpose.

His car was found abandoned on the roadside near Kulasekharam on Saturday morning. It was the locals that noticed a Kerala registration vehicle parked on the side of the road for more than a day and informed the SIT. The SIT assesses that Sunil Kumar left the car and entered another state by train. Railway stations are also being investigated. The police is thinking of issuing a lookout notice against him. The police are also collecting CCTV footage from the area where the car was found.

The police have come to the conclusion that someone is helping Sunil Kumar to stay in hiding. The police are monitoring his friends and relatives. The investigation is done in collaboration with the Kerala Police. Houses where Sunil Kumar regularly visits are also under surveillance. The police have not been able to find the tower location of his phone. The cyber cell is also monitoring those who were in constant contact with him on the phone.
