MUMBAI: Four members of a family, including two children, died in a flash flood in Maharashtra's Lonovala. The search is on for one. A family of seven was washed away in an unexpected flash flood while they were watching the waterfall. Two people escaped. The incident happened near Bhushi Dam.

The bodies of Pune natives Shahista Ansari (36), Amima Ansari (13), Umera Ansari (8) and Maria Sayyad (9) were found. The search continues for four-year-old Adnan Ansari.

The family came to celebrate the holiday on Sunday afternoon. There was heavy rain in the region since morning. The water flow in the waterfall suddenly increased. Everyone climbed the rock in the middle of the waterfall to escape, but they were swept away. Harrowing footage of the family's final moments has emerged. Despite their cries for help, no one could reach them due to the heavy current.
