Woman missing for 15 years found murdered, five including husband arrested

ALAPPUZHA: A woman, who went missing 15 years ago from Mannar, is suspected to have been murdered and buried. Kala (20) hailing from Mannar went missing years ago. Five including her husband have been arrested. The arrested told police that after killing her buried the body in the septic tank. The police will open the septic tank and examine.

Kala and her husband of different community got married after being in a relationship. As her husband Anil’s family were not interested in the relationship, she was accommodated in his relative’s house. Anil later flew to his workplace in Angola. A dispute broke out between the two after someone informed Anil that she has an affair with somebody else.

When Kala decided to return home, Anil demanded the custody of their son. He later reached home, spoke to her, rented a car and went to many places with her. It is believed that he called five of his friends in between and murdered her in the car. Then buried the body in the septic tank.

The police conducted an investigation three months ago after getting an anonymous letter. One of the accused had served jail term for trying to danger his wife and children.
